Hope UMC - Wed. Kids enjoyed an afternoon singing at
Pleasant Manor. Feb. 10th we
piled in the vehicles for an outing.
Residents heard the Wednesday Kids sing “King Jesus Is All” among
others. After hearing “The Butterfly
Song” and seeing the motions, one woman said, “I want to hear that one again.” The residents also sang along with “Amazing
Grace” and “Jesus Loves Me.”
When you hear
people in their 80s and 90s sing Amazing Grace by heart, it is a reminder that
music seeps into our hearts and souls.
One of the goals of Wednesday’s Kids is to give children songs—melodies and
words of faith—that they will know “by heart.”
Another goal is taking church—the love of God--into the community. Wed. Kids also plans on linking up with
Salvation Army again this year to share music and root beer floats with the
people at Heritage House.

those whose ongoing contributions make possible the ministry of Wednesday Kids—and
many other ministries at Hope Church.
