Fire
Up for Church School
September 10th Hope UMC kicked off its 2006 church school program
with an outdoor campfire for souls willing to brave the drizzle and an indoor
campfire and sing-a-long for those a little more weather-timid. Smores were enjoyed all around. Hope has two
main church school programs—Sunday morning for pre-school – Sr. High and Wed.
Kids for pres-school and elementary after school. We also have adult
short-term studies periodically throughout the year and a monthly movie &
discussion night.
Enjoy a few pictures from Fire Up Sunday.

Outdoors a few brave people enjoyed the warmth of the campfire in a light
mist after early morning showers. Indoors the Grafenstein’s sang with a
few children while others hung close to the microwaves and enjoyed smores. Also shown, Syaka
Chou writes the Japanese character for “peace” on the peace pole. Syaka grew up in Japan. She and her husband
Tony reside in Faribault
with their sons Alex and Andrew. Hope Church is proud of embracing
diversity and the common experience we all have a being human seeking to love
and be loved.
4 evenings a week a Spanish speaking congregation worships in our facility.
